St. George's Day, and the Bulgarian Army’s Day 2026 in Bulgaria

The calendar lists May 6, 2026, as Гергьовден, Ден на храбростта и Българската армия—St. George’s Day and the Bulgarian Army’s Day—and classifies it as a public holiday. The combined name signals both a religious feast and a national military observance. The supplied evidence does not explain their history, official ceremonies or relationship to one another, so those details are not asserted here. Bulgarian defense and church sources could confirm the respective official and religious contexts.
