Assumption Day 2026 in Croatia

The 2026 Croatian calendar lists August 15 as Assumption Day, or Velika Gospa, and classifies it as public. The supplied context describes the Assumption of Mary as a Catholic belief concerning Mary’s being taken into heaven, and identifies August 15 as its celebration date. This explains the religious reference in the holiday’s name, but does not document particular Croatian practices or independently confirm its legal scope. The entry reports the supplied calendar listing without assuming that observance is universal.
