Pfingstmontag (Pentecost Monday, also called Whit Monday) is listed as a public holiday throughout Germany on Monday, 25 May 2026. It falls on the day after Pentecost, a movable Christian feast whose date depends on Easter. The supplied context notes that the name Whit Monday derives from Whitsunday, another name for Pentecost, and describes the day’s place in the Christian liturgical calendar.
