Reformation Day 2026 in Germany

Reformationstag (Reformation Day) is listed as a public holiday in Brandenburg on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The supplied context describes it as a Protestant Christian observance commemorating the onset of the Reformation. It recounts the traditional association with Martin Luther’s Ninety-five Theses in 1517, while noting that the story of their being nailed to a church door is disputed. The entry is specific to Brandenburg; the context notes that the day is legally recognized in some German states, rather than establishing nationwide coverage.
