Reformation Day 2026 in Germany

Reformationstag is listed in Schleswig-Holstein as a public holiday on Saturday, 31 October 2026. The supplied context describes Reformation Day as a Protestant Christian observance commemorating the onset of the Reformation. It discusses the traditional association with Martin Luther’s Ninety-five Theses in 1517, while noting that the story of their being nailed to a church door is uncertain. The listing applies to Schleswig-Holstein and should not be taken as a claim of nationwide public-holiday coverage. The supplied context also notes that legal recognition differs among German states.
