Assumption Day 2027 in Italy

Italy’s calendar lists Ferragosto, or Assumption Day, on 15 August 2027 as a public holiday. The supplied context explains the Catholic belief that Mary was taken body and soul into heaven and confirms that the feast is celebrated on 15 August. This supports the religious meaning associated with the calendar entry. The materials do not detail Italy-specific customs or distinguish the religious observance from other meanings the name Ferragosto may carry, so no such claims are made here.
