Midsummer's Eve 2026 in Latvia

Latvia’s supplied calendar lists Līgo diena (Midsummer’s Eve) on 23 June 2026 as a public holiday. The attached context concerns a Latvian film associated with the period before the summer-solstice festival of Jāņi, which it identifies as a national holiday. That offers a local cultural connection, although the excerpt is not a detailed account of Līgo customs or the holiday’s legal status. The calendar provides the date and Latvian name used for this entry.
