Christmas Eve 2026 in Lithuania

Lithuania's 2026 calendar lists 24 December as Šv. Kūčios (Christmas Eve) and classifies it as public. The supplied contextual source describes Christmas Eve as the day or evening before Christmas, the Christian festival commemorating the birth of Jesus. It notes that Christmas celebrations in Western Christianity have often begun on Christmas Eve, including evening prayers in some churches. Those details are general rather than Lithuania-specific; the supplied evidence does not describe local customs or the legal effects of the public-holiday listing.
