National Women's Day observed 2026 in South Africa

The supplied calendar lists National Women’s Day on Sunday, August 9, 2026, and an observed public holiday on Monday, August 10. South African law provides for a public holiday to be observed on the following Monday when it falls on a Sunday, which accounts for the additional calendar entry. The observed date does not replace the commemorative date: the two listings distinguish the day itself from the weekday holiday observance. The supplied calendar supports both entries; the government’s public-holidays information is a useful lead for confirming the statutory rule.
