Anniversary of the foundation of Vatican City 2027 in Vatican City

The Vatican calendar lists 11 February 2027 as the anniversary of the foundation of Vatican City. The entry identifies it as a public holiday, but the supplied material does not explain the historical event being commemorated or specify what institutions observe a closure. The date also appears alongside religious feasts in the calendar, but this entry is framed as a civic anniversary. For a fuller account of its origin and current official status, a Vatican State source would be more suitable than assuming details from the calendar label alone.
